recommended.

This advanced soil science course led by Dr. Konstantin Dlusskiy focuses on:

Common landforms and parent materials associated with soils in Prairies
Soil drainage classes and soil moisture regimes
Soils of the ten Soil Orders in the Canadian System of Soil Classification
Classification of human-modified soils
Classification of soils to the Subgroup level
Relation of soil forming processes and factors of soil formation to the genesis of corresponding soils

Course Details

Where: Synchronous ZOOM meeting

When: March 27 and 28, 2024 (8 h each day, 8 am to 5 pm with two coffee breaks and a lunch break)

Fee:

Early Bird - $3500 (+GST) (ends February 29th)
Regular - $400 (+GST)

Additional Notes:

16 hours towards Professional Development. The course includes a pre-class assignment and a post-class open-book exam
