Presentation Summary

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into various industries has revolutionized technical problem-solving capabilities, yet some sectors, such as the environmental industry, lag in adopting these advances.  We will begin with an introduction to fundamental AI and machine learning concepts, tracing their evolution from initial uses in customer service to their current diverse applications. The discussion will highlight AI's adaptation to some environmental practices, including the creation of algorithms for precise, rapid analysis and prediction.

Attendees will gain insights into AI's practical applications in the environmental sector, enhancing accuracy in soil contamination assessments, optimizing water treatment, and improving real-time data collection. This session aims to provide a deeper understanding of AI's potential to advance environmental management and sustainability.

We will then introduce the development of sensor technologies integrated with AI, that will showcase real-world applications in detecting hydrocarbons and chlorides, with over 95% accuracy. Case studies will illustrate this AI's revolutionary impact on site assessment and remediation strategies.

Attendees will leave with a understanding of AI's potential role in transforming environmental practices, from general data analysis to specific contamination detection, highlighting its potential to shift the entire industry.
