Topic: Comprehensive Review of Air Sampling and Regulatory Requirements

Presentation Summary

The Canadian Ambient Air Quality Standards (CAAQS) are part of a collaborative national Air Quality Management System (AQMS), both of these organizations are working towards continued protection of human health and the environment in Canada.  The Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) agreed to new CAAQS which are currently now effective as of 2020.

This presentation will cover a brief introduction to CAAQS/CCME, the best sampling methods and new technologies in the sector, and a focus on providing insight and guidance to improve decision making with respect to understanding air sampling mythologies within the Prairie Region (SK/AB).  The webinar will also include “Fence Line” monitoring to “Vapour intrusion” providing consultants a better understanding of regulations and sampling techniques to support their client’s needs.  Proper sampling methods/best practices will be discussed to ensure minimal environmental impacts while collecting accurate and meaningful data.
