About this Event

This advanced soil science course led by Dr. Konstantin Dlusskiy focuses on:

  • Common landforms and parent materials associated with soils in Prairies,
  • Soil drainage classes and soil moisture regimes,
  • Soils of the ten Soil Orders in the Canadian System of Soil Classification,
  • Classification of human-modified soils,
  • Classification of soils to the Subgroup level,
  • Relation of soil-forming processes and factors of soil formation to the genesis of corresponding soils.
  • Prior knowledge of soil science at the introductory level is strongly recommended.

Where: Synchronous Microsoft Teams meetings

When: April 14 and 15, 2021 (8 h each day, 8 am to 5 pm with two coffee breaks and one lunch break)
