In this land managers reclamation workshop, participants will explore innovative approaches to reduce environmental impacts and restore land, with a focus on integrating Indigenous wisdom and Western science. The workshop will showcase practical strategies for reclamation, restoration, and revitalization of landscapes, including mining areas and degraded pastures.

Speaker Information:

Carol Crowe is a distinguished Indigenous engagement consultant and environmental professional focused on fostering relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities across Canada. As the founder of Indigenous Visions Inc., she has over two decades of experience and has trained more than 650 Indigenous Environmental Monitors, emphasizing community-based environmental stewardship and collaboration with corporations and government to minimize impacts on traditional lands. Carol holds an Environmental Professional Designation in Environmental Training and Education with ECOCanada.

Carol serves on the Technical Advisory Committee for the Indigenous Centre for Cumulative Effects. This committee plays a crucial role in enhancing the scientific and technical capacity of Indigenous communities to address the impacts of various human and industrial activities.
